Our Beliefs
  1. The Bible: Is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God - 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:15-17. We do our best to learn the Bible and to live our lives according to Scripture as best we can. In our Church, we will work to base all that we do and our decisions on God’s Word. And we will boldly speak the Truth in love - Ephesians 4:14.
  2. The Trinity: There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6. We will strive to work to honor and tell people about God, our Savior Jesus and to try to let the Holy Spirit be our guide, comforter and the One who equips us - as a Church and as Christians.
  3. Jesus: Being a Christian is a relationship with Jesus, not a religion. He is God in the form of the Son of the Trinity, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died on the Cross as a sacrifice for our sins (which is necessary because we have all sinned and are in need of salvation (Romans 3:23)). He was resurrected from death and rose to the right hand of the Father. He will return in power and glory and is the only way to salvation. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and John 14:6. We are saved through Jesus and will share that salvation can be found in Christ alone. We will continue to strive to build our relationship with Jesus.
  4. Great Commission Christians: We will participate in and support (locally and throughout the world) spreading the Good News of salvation through Jesus. Baptism is an important function of salvation and we commit to lifelong discipleship – Matthew 28:16-20. Heaven and Hell real places – (1 Corinthians 15:51-57; Revelation 20:11-15) and we know we are going to Heaven because of salvation through Jesus and we will lovingly tell those around us how they can go to Heaven with us.
  5. Like the Early Church, We Devote Ourselves to Learning, Fellowship, Communion and Prayer:  Acts 2:42. We strive to be lifelong disciples, committed to the other people in our Church, to worshiping with them and communing with them and God and in prayer. Prayer is central to all that we do, and we know that God hears and answers our prayers and honors some prayers with miracles - Philippians 4:6. We commit to praying for those around us and for our Church.
  6. The Unity of Believers: There should be a spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church - 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27; Ephesians 1:22-23. We have a strong Church family and commit to striving to support and encourage each other and to working out any struggles in a Scriptural manner – Matthew 18:15-17. We try not to judge others from wrong motives and try to help restore brothers and sisters who struggle.
  7. Supporting and Serving in the Church: We commit to attending membership meetings and worship when we are able and understand that God gave each of us a gift that we use in the Church to equip the disciples (and to be equipped by others) - Ephesians 4:11-13. As He also provides us with resources, we financially support the Church as best we can - 1 Corinthians 16:1-2.
  8. Greatest Commandment Christians: We will try to love the Lord with all our hearts, souls, and minds and love those around us (in and outside our Church) as ourselves – Matthew 22:37-40.
